Loldi’s birthday celebrations have to be postponed, we are all in the grip of spring.

R. writes a page of his score; he tries something out on the piano and then returns to his desk: “A stitch in time saves nine,” he says, laughing. — 

Herr Peters-Friedlander writes of the continued success of the ’’”‘Kaisermarsch” and offers 5,000 marks for an overture! And yesterday Herr Eckert wrote to say that this quarter had brought in 1,750 thalers in Berlin, houses continually sold out and prices raised.
