Much worry about my wardrobe—R. thinks I do not have enough to wear!

At lunch Herr Betz, who admits to me that he is happy to have come here and thus got to know R. really well personally—he has also seen how happy he is! 

Rehearsal with Herr Unger, Loge not yet decided. In the evening Herr Betz and the “Kanzlei”; Josef Rubinstein distinguishes himself by playing from the manuscript of the 3rd act of Götterdämmerung. —Fine speech by Bismarck, saying to his intended murderer that it is not good for a man to shoot at a fellow countryman. — Friend Richter causes R. concern. — There is a report in the A.A.Z. about the ill-starred inscription on the house—and yet it is they who have read it incorrectly!
