A telegram arrives announcing that Betty Schott has passed away! Yet again, a relationship in life is entirely over. – In the evening, Gfrörer on miracles. (I wrote to Prince Rohde, who sent me a lovely letter; R. regrets that his acquaintance with these young people has completely upset their course in life, whereas they might have been quite content as university professors.)
