R. much tormented by the Psoriasis on his fingers. – Very nice letter from Dr. Standhartner, bidding us stay with them. R. bad tempered, longing for productivity. Around midday I find him pondering the overture. 

I stay at home, he goes out, I have been plagued with a toothache since New Year’s Day. Some visits in the evening; F Minor Sonata, and again from the 33 Variations!
